2 Busted In Chelmsford For Heroin, Cocaine Trafficking: MSP

Police stopped the men on I-495 and found a "large quantity" of what is believed to be heroin and cocaine.

CHELMSFORD, MA – Two New Hampshire men were arrested over the weekend after a state police trooper found a "large quantity" of heroin and cocaine during a traffic stop in Chelmsford, according to Massachusetts State Police. The trooper pulled the car over Saturday, May 12 near Exit 2 on I-495 South after it went over a lane marking.

He searched the car and found approximately 40 grams of a substance believed to be heroin and about 66 grams of a substance believed to be cocaine, according to state police. The driver, 31-year-old Scott Pratt, and passenger, 31-year-old Ty Fowler, were arrested and charged with trafficking in heroin trafficking in cocaine and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.

Pratt was also cited for a marked lanes violation and Fowler was cited for failure to wear a seatbelt. Both men live in Keene, NH.

They were arraigned Monday in Lowell District Court, state police said.
