5 Romantic Restaurants for Valentine's Day
Places to take your Valentine out for a romantic dinner.

Welcome to Patch Picks, a column where we'll let you know the best of the best in Chelmsford for any given event or theme. This week, we've listed the five best romantic restaurants in town for Valentine's Day.
- . Moonstone’s plans to treat the entire weekend as a Valentine’s celebration, and reservations are already booking up fast. The romantic ambiance will include a fireplace, candlelight and flowers, creating the perfect atmosphere for you and your sweetheart. One special Valentine’s dinner option includes a three course meal. Choose from their menu selection such as a Fried Calamari appetizer, Salmon Mushroom Duxelle Wellington entree, and a Berry Compote for dessert. A complementary champagne cocktail will start off your dining experience, and homemade Italian truffles will end the evening on a sweet note. “We offer the type of atmosphere folks would find in Boston or New York, but right here in Chelmsford,” said owner Scott Plath. “You can have an urban dining experience close to home.”
- . If your Valentine’s wish is for fresh sushi or a delicious Chinese dish, then Feng Shui is the place for your celebration this weekend. Their Lover’s Feast Combo offers a romantic three course meal for two for $60. The menu can be found on their websites and includes entrees like beef or shrimp teriyaki and steamed Chilean Sea Bass. “We offer a nice atmosphere, and a place that couples can enjoy their Valentine’s Day,” said owner Charlie Chen.
- . The Glenview will be running a special menu all weekend that includes a Sweetheart Valentine’s Dinner that offers an appetizer, salad and entrée. Enjoy a fresh Filet with baked stuffed lobster tails or a roasted leg of lamb. Satisfy your sweet tooth with Red velvet cake, Chocolate suicide, or a strawberry parfait. “We invite people to come in, sit and relax and not feel rushed,” said general manager Shelia Vaughan. “We offer an array of dishes you can’t get anywhere else.”
- . Go for the classic date night—dinner and a movie—at Café Madrid. On Sunday and Monday night at 7 p.m. enjoy a dinner for two and feature movie in the Havana Room on their 120-inch movie screen. If you are planning to celebrate with your love on Saturday night, enjoy some live music as Rod Stuart impersonator Rick Larrimore performs live at 7:30 p.m. “The atmosphere at Café Madrid is cozy and romantic, the food is fabulous and service is superb,” said owner Yazmin Fadjo. “We also have two dance floors so you can dance all night long with your sweetheart.”
- . If you want to share a string of spaghetti with your Valentine, head to Vincenzo’s for a homemade Italian dinner. Their special menu this weekend includes Lobster ravioli, chicken dishes, baked scallops and more. Bartenders will be serving cocktails rightly named Cupid’s Kiss and Love on the Rocks. A warm chocolate fudge lava cake for dessert will make for a sweet treat. "The ambiance is beautiful, the food is authentic made with love-- no pun intended,” said Elise Peterson, assistant manager. “The service here is professional and our goal is to make everyone’s dining experience special.”
