All Aspects of Chelmsford Government To Be Examined Thoroughly By Committee
The town government will be thoroughly assessed as part of the once-a-decade Town Charter review.

All aspects of the town government will be assessed by a committee of volunteers as part of the law-mandated Town Charter review, the Chelmsford Independent reported.
The Charter is reviewed once every 10 years, which will be this July. Finding volunteers for the committee has been somewhat of a challenge, however, with the deadline for applications recently extended to fill nine vacancies.
There are now reportedly ten applicants ready to serve the committee, who will be selected from by Town Council at their June 6 meeting, according to the Chelmsford Independent. The Charter was last reviewed and approved in 2006.
