• Middlesex Sheriff's Office Celebrates Successful 25th Season of its Youth Public Safety Academy (hollistonreporter.com) — Chelmsford hosted the Middlesex Sheriff's Youth Public Safety Academy this summer, bringing hundreds of kids—including many from Chelmsford—together for hands-on lessons in safety and leadership. Cadets trained at the Chelmsford academy with police, fire, EMS, and other partners during the program's 25th anniversary season.
   

• NASCAR weekend kicks off at New Hampshire Motor Speedway (wwlp.com) — A Chelmsford driver, Jon McKennedy, grabbed a big win at New Hampshire Motor Speedway by stretching his fuel to the end of the Whelen Modified Tour race.
