CHELMSFORD, MA — Chelmsford voters will help decide a contested Democratic state House primary when they head to the polls Sept. 1.
In the 16th Middlesex District, Lorena G. Betts of Chelmsford and Corey Michael Robinson of Lowell are seeking the Democratic nomination, according to the Secretary of the Commonwealth's official candidate list. The district is currently represented by Rodney Elliott, a Democrat.
Chelmsford voters will also see several other contested races. Democratic U.S. Sen. Ed Markey faces U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton in the Democratic primary.
Early voting runs through Friday, Aug. 28, at the Town Offices gym, 50 Billerica Road. Hours vary by day. On Election Day, Sept. 1, polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
