• These children used to be safe in immigration courts. Now, judges are ordering them deported. (bostonglobe.com) — Families in Chelmsford should know that new immigration judges at the local court have begun ordering deportations for unaccompanied minors, even when state courts find they were abused or neglected and their special immigrant juvenile applications are pending. Over the past month, at least 17 children from across New England have received removal orders here, reflecting a national push to speed cases that advocates say puts vulnerable kids at serious risk.
