Bank Robbery In Chelmsford
Chelmsford police said two people robbed the TD Bank on Drum Hill Road Friday night.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Two suspects robbed the TD Bank on Drum Hill Road in Chelmsford Friday night, police said. Jamie Cohoon, 41, of Lowell, and Roger Surette, 40, of Dracut were arrested in their getaway vehicle minutes after the crime, police said. Chelmsford police Chief James Spinney said the robbery happened at about 6:30 p.m.
"Upon arrival, officers learned that a woman, later identified as Cohoon, had entered the bank and passed a note to the teller, threatening she had a gun and demanding money," Spinney said in a statement. "She then fled with an undisclosed amount of cash in a vehicle, driven by a male suspect, later identified as Surette."

Officers obtained a description of the couple's vehicle and located it on Route 3 north near Exit 35, Spinney said. Officers stopped the vehicle and took the couple into custody on armed robbery charges.
