Cask & Bottle Opens Its Doors Saturday
Town's newest liquor store also has a grand opening set for Sept. 19 and 20.

Cask & Bottle, Chelmsford’s newest liquor store is set to open its doors on Saturday at its 313 Littleton Road location.
The business is having a soft opening on Saturday, August 23 in advance of its two-day grand opening celebration planned for Sept. 19 and 20.
Cask & Bottle is owned by Chelmsford resident Lu Santos and is a family-operated business which includes Santos’ brother Michael Melo and sister Maria Caires. Santos’ husband Paul made the handmade sign for the new store.

Their goal, according to Caires was to open a store in the area like you might expect to see in Boston. “We want to do our best to serve local residents,” she says.
Cask & Bottle will carry a large selection of domestic and imported wines, as well as some unique wines and a variety of craft beers. Caires says they will also be looking to get feedback from their customers to see what they would like the store to carry.

“We’ll carry the staples that we know many people like,” she said. “We want to make sure customers have access to those things and that it’s close by so they don’t have to travel to pick up their six-pack of beer before the game.”
Caires adds they will also be attending events organized by their vendors. “We’ll be tasting a variety of wines and beers and hope to share things we like with our customers,” she says.
During the Sept. 19 and 20 grand opening, Cask and Bottle will have food, as well as beer and wine tastings on both days for customers. “This is the best way for customers to try new products and allows us to see what new things we might want to bring in,” Caires says.
Store owners are also proud they have reused and re-purposed a lot of their product displays and cabinets, as well as their beer cooler.
On Sept. 24 the store will play host to a Markus and Leslie Pain party, as well as a wine tasting for those guests. They hope to have paint parties monthly at the location.
Store hours are Monday through Wednesday 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., Thursday through Saturday 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. and Sundays noon to 6 p.m.
