Chelmsford Garden Club Scholarship Award 2016

Carolyn Langevin and Carol Cannistraro, Chelmsford Garden Club past and present presidents and Debbie Linnehan, Scholarship Chairman awarded a $1000 scholarship to William Higson, a 2016 graduate of Chelmsford High School. Will is an outstanding student who was a member of the National Honor Society and the High Honor/Honor roll for 4 years. He was the CHS Pride Award Recipient, and received many other honors as well. Will was also very active in sports and served as a volunteer for Chelmsford Youth Soccer, the CCC Youth Group, Local Road Race and Walkathon Volunteer. During his entire school career he has shown outstanding scholarship and community service commitment. From the age of 12 he had an interest in Architecture when he built a 10‘x 10’ garden complete with a fence, a functioning gate and lots of vegetables. His interest in building and gardening became even more sophisticated as he grew older. His course of study at college will be Architecture/Landscape Architecture and he will attend the University of Hartford. The Club congratulates him on his accomplishments and wishes him a happy and successful future.
