Chelmsford Head-On Crash: 2 Injured
One driver, who was unresponsive, was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries following a crash on Westford Road.

CHELMSFORD, MA – Two people were injured, one seriously, in a head-on crash in Chelmsford Tuesday, police said. Police said a Subaru and a pickup truck collided on Westford Road around 3 p.m.
The driver of the Subaru, a 39-year-old Lowell man, was unresponsive and taken to the hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries, according to police. The driver of the pickup, a 30-year-old Chelmsford man, was taken to the hospital for lower body injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.

Westford Road is currently closed between Dalton Road and Pine Hill Road; one lane will remain closed into the evening while investigators are at the scene.
Be advised Westford Street is CLOSED between Dalton Road and Pine Hill Road due to a serious vehicle crash. Please seek alternate route.
