Chelmsford High Boys Hockey Beats Tewksbury 5-2 in Home Opener

The Lions won 5-2 at last night's home opener at the Chelmsford Forum.

Chelmsford High Lions Wednesday night beat the Tewksbury Memorial High School Redmen in Chelmsford's boys hockey season opener.

Chelmsford scored first, as Billy Kamenides tallied the first goal of the season at the 6:33 mark. In the second period, Chelmsford's Drew Dawson added a goal with only 22 seconds left in the period. 

The third period was all action with five goals scored. Tommy Bishop made it 3-0 Chelmsford with his tally. Tewksbury’s Pat Doherty scored on a power play to make it 3-1. David DeDonato answered for Chelmsford, making it 4-1. Another power play goal by Tewksbury brought them within two, as Chris Connors found the back of the net behind CHS goalie Brad Alber. Danny Ferri rounded out the scoring for Chelmsford with an empty netter with 48 seconds remaining in the game. The final score was 5-2.
