Chelmsford High School moves on to semi-final round of the METG Festival of One Acts

Chelmsford High School moves on to semi-final round of the METG Festival of One Acts
CHS Theater Guild, under the direction of Lauren Cochran, will be advancing to the semi-finals of the M.E.T.G. (Massachusetts Educational Theater Guild) Drama Festival.
On March 1, CHS was one of 112 schools performing a one-act play that was judged by a panel of adjudicators. From the eight schools at the event, three schools moved on to the semi-final round. The three winning schools were: North Central Charter Essential School, Sharon High School, and Chelmsford High School.
In addition to winning the preliminary round, Chelmsford Theater Guild was recognized with four all-star awards. Christopher Torres as Edwin Booth and Hannah Riffe as Molly Devlin both received awards for acting. Abigail Hirsch and her team received a set design award. Emma Lovas and Jenifer Arnal, along with their “costume ninjas,” received an all-star award for their excellent costumes.
The semi-finals will be held on Saturday, March 15th. Chelmsford will be traveling to Brockton High School to compete against the following schools: Brockton, Saugus, Amesbury, Joseph Case, and Notre Dame (Hingham). Chelmsford will be performing Civil Blood at 3:00 p.m. Tickets are $10.00 for the day and all six shows can be seen. Two winners from each semi-final site will be chosen for the state finals, which will be held in Boston.
