Chelmsford HS Theatre Guild Offering Free Camp For Students

CHELMSFORD, MA — The Chelmsford Theatre Guild is offering a free camp for all Chelmsford High School (CHS) students, including rising freshmen, from August 16 to 20 at the Carl J. Rondina Performing Arts Center.

The theatre camp will take place daily from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m. and give participants an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the CHS Theatre Guild, its board and alumni, and incoming students.

The first two days of camp , which are mandatory for all participants, will consist of tours of the theatre areas and preparing for the 2021-22 schedule. The last three days will feature alumni-instructed workshops on lighting, sound, acting, improvisation, playwriting, costumes, and hair and makeup. Students must bring their own lunch Monday through Thursday and pizza will be provided on Friday.

Camp attendance is limited to 30 participants and the deadline to apply is August 8. Students can register by completing an online formonline form or emailing CHS Theatre Director Lauren Cochran here.
