The Town of Chelmsford seeks to hire a Provisional Truck Driver/Laborer in the Highway Division to provide roadway maintenance. Driver will operate sanders and dump trucks and perform manual labor tasks to include, but not limited to, patch pot holes, cut brush, clean and repair catch basins, clean drainage lines, assist in installing drainage pipes. Plow snow, snow removal, sanding and salting operations. Perform drainage and sidewalk construction projects, sweep sidewalks and streets; replace street signs. Hourly rate is $21.4006 40 hrs/wk. This position is represented by Chelmsford Public Works Association.The above are typical tasks regularly performed, but additional related tasks of equivalent skills and responsibilities are performed as service requirements change.

REQUIREMENTS• Must possess a Commercial Driver License (Class B). • Prior experience performing similar tasks required.• Must complete a pre-employment physical, DOT required drug screen with random Drug/Alcohol testing while employed.

Chelmsford Public Library seeks a part time Library Assistant to work 17.5 hours per week. Duties of the Library Assistant are to assist the public with the use of the library including Inter-Library loan, circulation and reader’s advisory services. Public service may be in person or by telephone.
WORK SCHEDULE
Monday at MacKay 1:00-5:00 pm
Wednesday at MacKay 1:00-8:00 pm
Every other Friday at MacKay 10-5:00 pm alternating with Every other Saturday at Main 9:30-5:30 pm
Candidates must be able to adapt smoothly to patron demands and should enjoy interacting with public of all ages. Four-year college degree and/or experience working in a public library preferred.
