Chelmsford Man Indicted For 6th DUI

A Chelmsford man was arrested in December after crashing into a utility pole on Concord Road.

CHELMSFORD, MA – One case with ties to Chelmsford is among the latest round of indictments in Middlesex County. District Attorney Marian Ryan on Monday announced indictments handed down between Jan. 18 and March 6.

Francis Harrison, 59, of Chelmsford, was charged with operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol, 6th offense, and negligent operation of a motor vehicle. The Assistant District Attorney is Maren Schrader.

Harrison was arrested in December after crashing his car through a utility pole and mailbox on the 100 block of Concord Road. Police said he was speeding and not wearing a seat belt in the moments leading up to the crash.

Harrison was taken to the hospital, where he allegedly refused a blood test for alcohol and other substances.

His license was suspended and seized.
