Chelmsford Pond, Lake Closed For Bacteria
The health inspector will retest both beaches.

CHELMSFORD, MA – The Chelmsford Board of Health has closed Heart Pond and Freeman Lake due to a high bacteria count, according to the Chelmsford Police Department.
Heart Pond is located in the southwest part of town, bordering Westford. Freeman Lake is located in North Chelmsford.
Health Inspector Mark Masiello will retest both beaches, police said. For more information, contact the Board of Health at 978-250-5241.
