Chelmsford Public Garden News

This article describes ongoing work and additions to the new Chelmsford Public Garden

The Chelmsford Public Garden is flourishing under the devoted care of Chelmsford Garden Club members who belong to the Garden Club Federation of MA. A battalion of gardeners have taken one week tours of duty at the town’s newest creation and are waging war against weeds, deadheads, geese droppings and assorted paper trash. The grass has been mowed a couple of times and is a carpet of velvet green, the envy of residents parched brown lawns. A beautiful marble bench, donated by Brenda Lovering, has arrived and is nestled among plants and trees to provide one more place to sit and admire the view. The garden is an ongoing project and will continue to grow and evolve as the seasons rush by.
