Chelmsford Superintendent Announces Resignation
Superintendent Tiano and School Committee issued a joint statement Wednesday afternoon.

Chelmsford Superintendent Dr. Frank Tiano will resign July 1.
The announcement came in a joint statement issued by the superintendent and the Chelmsford School Committee Wednesday afternoon.
Dr. Frank Tiano and the Chelmsford School Committee met to discuss their views for the future direction of the Chelmsford Public Schools, according to the statement. The two mutually concluded each has different visions for the operation and management of the Chelmsford Public Schools, and as a result, Tiano will be tendering his resignation as Superintendent effective July 1, 2015 based on the parties’ mutual agreement over the terms of his departure.

School Committee Chairman Michael Rigney would like to thank Dr. Tiano on behalf of the Committee and the School System for his many years of service to the children of Chelmsford.
Dr. Tiano wishes to express his gratitude to teachers, administrators, parents, students, and community leaders for their support of him and the Chelmsford Public Schools.
