Chelmsford Town Manager, Accountant Get Raises

Selectmen on Monday approved raises for Paul Cohen and Darlene Lussier.

CHELMSFORD, MA – Chelmsford selectmen on Monday approved a significant raise for Town Manager Paul Cohen based on his performance review. According to the Lowell Sun, the performances of both Cohen and Town Accountant Darlene Lussier were unanimously ranked as "exceptional."

Cohen was initially awarded a salary of $181,000, but argued for a higher raise, the Sun reported. His salary was then set at $192,000, a 14 percent increase from $168,008 last fiscal year. Lussier's salary was raised to nearly $108,000 from $105,000.

Cohen's new salary was publicly approved just after midnight.
