Chelmsford Voters Head To The Polls For MA Primary

CHELMSFORD, MA — Chelmsford voters will help decide a contested Democratic state House primary along with key statewide races when they head to the polls Tuesday.

In the 16th Middlesex District, Lorena G. Betts of Chelmsford and Corey Michael Robinson of Lowell are seeking the Democratic nomination, according to the Secretary of the Commonwealth's official candidate list. The district is currently represented by Rodney Elliott, a Democrat.

Chelmsford voters will also see several other contested races. Democratic U.S. Sen. Ed Markey faces U.S. Rep. Seth Moulton in the Democratic primary for the U.S. Senate seat.

On the Republican side, Michael Roger Minogue and Brian Shortsleeve are competing for the gubernatorial nomination.

Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. Voting locations are as follows:

• Precincts 1 and 2: Senior Center at 75 Groton Road
• Precincts 3 to 8: McCarthy Middle School at 250 North Road
• Precincts 9 to 11: Town Offices Gym at 50 Billerica Road
