Chelmsford's Freeman Lake Closed Due To Bacteria

Freeman Lake in Chelmsford was closed this week due to high levels of bacteria, most likely from geese, officials said.

CHELMSFORD, MA — Freeman Lake in Chelmsford was closed Monday due to high levels of bacteria, according to the Board of Health. The elevated levels of bacteria were due to "excessive geese activity," officials said.
