State Rep. Cory Atkins, D-Concord, was re-elected Tuesday.

Atkins beat out Republican challenger Ken Van Tassell by a margin of 12,045 votes to 3,970, according to the Associated Press.

Atkins represents the Fourteenth District, which includes Concord, Carlisle, and parts of Acton and Chelmsford. She was first elected in 1998.
