Curious Science & Learning Students Win the Spot in the 2016 Competition to Send Experiments to the Space through NASA Rocket

Curious Science & Learning students win the spot in the 2016 space experiment competition to send experiments to the space. In the phase I of the program, students designed and send the proposal for the evaluation. Both the proposal got selected and students could able to prepare and send both the experiments to the space through NASA’s rocket and high altitude balloon as phase II of the program. This year, more than 1000 students from 22 countries were participated, of which a total of 160 experimental designs were selected to send to the space. Experiment/Cubes in Space 2016 has selected experiments designed by students from Australia, Canada, South Africa, France, Germany, India, Mexico, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom, and the United States of America. The experiments were launched via sounding rocket in June 2016 from NASA Wallops Flight Facility on the Eastern Shore of Virginia and by high-altitude scientific balloon from NASA’s Columbia Scientific Balloon Facility in Ft. Sumner, New Mexico.

Curious Science & Learning, a Chelmsford based organization engages students in learning and research, help develop leadership and communication skills and expose students to the diversity of what the STEM fields have to offer through unique lesson plans, experiments, presentations, and field trips.
