Chelmsford Gardener Finalist In National Contest

This article describes the Garden Club Federation of MA photo contest in which Doris Holt was a finalist.

Doris Holt, a Chelmsford Garden Club member, was named one of 26 finalists by the National Garden Clubs, Inc. 2017 Photography Contest for two photos. The theme of the contest was Look Deeply into Nature and you will understand….Albert Einstein. Photographs were submitted from garden club members nationwide and narrowed down to these finalists. It seems they were all equal winners – no single prize. Doris has been a member of the Nashoba Valley Photo Club for a few years but this was the first photo competition that she had ever entered. The pictures were taken in her own backyard during the magic hours just before the sunset which enabled her to get that great light for a background. Doris said, “It felt wonderful taking these pictures because they were in my own backyard, and not some exotic place or garden.” The Club congratulates Doris on this wonderful artistic achievement.
