This Saturday night (June 9) is your only opportunity to enjoy the Acton Community Chorus performing its Spring Pops concert. With a new, larger, air-conditioned venue at the Hale Middle School in Stow, we are performing one
concert only and invite you to join us. The concert starts at 7:30 PM and tickets ($15.00) can be purchased at the door. Please see our website for directions and further details: www.actoncommunitychorus.org
Performing Hits of the Decades, this year the chorus brings to the audience a selection of the standards from the 1940s to the 1970s, including "Sentimental Journey," "Rockin' Robin," a Beatles revue, and many other much-loved melodies. Adding to the enjoyment for everyone are several soloists and small group numbers.
With over 60 members from numerous Metrowest communities, the chorus has been providing well-received, local concerts for twenty-eight seasons since its founding in 1984. Director Paul Johnson, a talented tenor with a
Master of Voice degree from the New England Conservatory of Music, has skillfully led the chorus since its inception. Piano accompanist, Susan Bishov, a professionally trained musician as well, has also been with the chorus from the beginning.

The 2012 concert season's program is supported in part by grants from the Acton-Boxborough, Bedford and Hudson Cultural Councils, local agencies which are supported by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency. The chorus is a non-profit organization. We look forward to having you in our audience!
