"Chelmsford and the Civil War" -Lecture by Bernie Ready

Learn about connections between our town and the Civil War. Learn about some of the residents of Chelmsford who fought in the War. Bernie Ready will read excerpts from the diary of a South Chelmsford soldier. He will also bring in swords manufactured by the Roby Sword Factory that stood in West Chelmsford in the mid-1800's.

A life-long resident of Chelmsford, Bernie Ready has an MA in Education and taught 5 and 6th grades in Chelmsford for 35 years. He is president of Chelmsford Historical Society, is on the Board of Directors of the Chelmsford Historical Society and is a Trustee of the Chelmsford Historical Society.
