The Walk is a 13-mile scenic course consisting of two loops (4.2 & 8.8 mi) between St. Mark’s in Westford, and West Chelmsford United Methodist Church, with convenient stops to rest and hydrate. One may walk one or both loops with van transportation, courtesy of the Westford Senior Center, available at any time for a ride back to St. Mark’s. There is first aid, courtesy of Trinity Ambulance, and lunch consisting of peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, fruit and beverages at West Chelmsford United Methodist Church, provided by volunteers. The proceeds are distributed locally to the Alternative House, House of Hope, Lowell Transitional Living Center, Greater Lowell Open Pantry, Merrimack Valley Food Bank’s Mobile Pantry, and the food pantries in Westford and Chelmsford and nationally to Sharing, Inc.
