Getting Ready for Fall At CPG
This article describes the Chelmsford Garden Club members planting fall bulbs and getting the garden ready for winter.
On a misty day in October, Brenda Lovering, Monica Kent and Lynn Chaput began preparing the soil for planting bulbs at the Chelmsford Public Garden. All summer the garden was lavish with blooming annuals and green grass that was beautiful to behold. Now it is time for tulip and daffodil bulbs to go to bed and get ready for their spring debut. Over the next few weeks Chelmsford Garden Club members will be removing the annuals, planting hundreds of bulbs and getting ready for winter. The generosity of our citizens, local businesses and town officials made this gem in the heart of town possible. Our club members are committed to making sure our picturesque garden remains that way forever.
