Handel, Haydn, and Harrington Elementary School
Members of the Handel and Haydn Society Visit the Harrington Elementary Music Students!
On April 16, members of the Handel and Haydn Society visited Harrington Elementary School to perform a program about Oratorios. This was a free program offered by the Handel & Haydn Society.
Much like opera and musical theater, oratorio is written for a full cast of individual characters, chorus, and orchestra, but is usually performed in concert style, rather than staged. To add to the excitement of oratorio, the H&H Vocal Quartet brings characters and musical styles to life through a fun and entertaining dramatization.
A principal leader of Boston’s arts community since 1815, the Handel and Haydn Society will reach its Bicentennial in 2015.
