Help Build Friendship Park Playground June 2-3

Sign up today to help build the new Friendship Park playground at Roberts Field in Chelmsford on June 2-3, from 7am-4pm. Register for a morning or afternoon shift with assembly or support jobs now available. Work a full shift or work 2-3 hours - all help is appreciated! Because this is a very active work site and for everyone's safety, the Friendship Park Community Build is an 18+ event (15+ with adult supervision).

Assembly crew work will include leveling and setting poles in concrete, assembling equipment with nuts, bolts and fasteners, and more. Expect some work from ladders, some shoveling, with lots of wrenching, holding and standing. Assembly teams will be led by playground contractors. Volunteers are asked to bring their own tools especially 3/8” Ratchets with 9/16 socket, 6ft or taller A frame (free standing) ladder, Wheelbarrows, and a 5 gallon bucket. Click to sign up

Support team work will include registrations, T Shirt distribution, drink, snack and meal service, trash collection, first aid and more. Shade tents will be available and the Town is providing food, drinks and snacks.
