Help Send the CHS Marching Band to Washington

The band has been chosen to represent Massachusetts in the nation's capital in the annual 4th of July Parade.

The Chelmsford High School Marching Band has been chosen to represent the state of Massachusetts in the country’s Annual 4th of July Parade in Washington, DC this year. A GoFundMe page has been set up to help defray the band’s travel expenses to allow them to participate in this once in a lifetime opportunity.

While honored, some band members are unsure if they can participate in this once-in-a-lifetime event. The reason, supporters say is there is simply is no funding available from the school department or the town to help these deserving kids with their travel expenses. The price tag of the trip is nearing $800.

A group of parents has joined with Chelmsford Friends of Music, a community based non-profit, to create a Go Fund Me page to try to raise funds for the band to travel by bus to Washington and participate in the parade.
