Introduction from Candidate for Constable

My name is Andrew Weiner. I am running for Constable of Chelmsford MA

My name is Andrew Weiner. I am a candidate for Constable for the Town of Chelmsford. My wife Marcia, daughter Rachel and I have lived here since the middle of 2001. Rachel has gone through the local school system and is currently a 7th grader at the McCarthy middle school. Marcia is pre-school teacher at a local day care center. Full time, I am an Engineer for a national security firm.

I hail from Gloucester MA, where I was born and raised. When Marcia and I got married, we searched for homes in several communities. We chose, but did not settle on Chelmsford. Chelmsford had everything we wanted, including the top notch school systems, community services and small town feel, all while still being connected to all major routes to many large cities.

I was asked recently if my being a “newbie” to town politics as well as not growing up here would hamper my bid to be elected Constable for the Town of Chelmsford. That was several days ago, and I have been thinking about it. In short, not at all. I have seen incumbents get voted out, and other new faces get elected and be successful. I am not looking to overtake and/or surpass the good that the Late Bill Spence did. I am not looking to one up any candidate, either incumbent or hopeful. I simply want to serve the town that my wife, daughter and I call home, and be proud of the job set before me. I want to do right by all the voters, especially the ones that do not cast their vote for me, as I want to earn their votes and trust for the future. In a little more than 6 weeks, I hope that the towns’ citizens find it in them to vote for me as Constable for this great Town of Chelmsford. I want to know how to earn your vote.
