Victim Of Fatal Chelmsford Head-On Crash ID'd
The driver was unresponsive when he was taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon.

CHELMSFORD, MA – One of the drivers involved in a head-on crash in Chelmsford Tuesday afternoon has died. Sidiclei Cleber Schmidt, 39, of Lowell, died from his injuries after being taken to Lowell General Hospital, according to the Middlesex District Attorney's office.
The other driver, a 30-year-old Chelmsford man, was hospitalized with lower body injuries that are not believed to be life-threatening.
Schmidt was behind the wheel of a Subaru and the Chelmsford man was driving a pickup truck when the two vehicles collided on Westford Road, police said. The crash happened around 3 p.m. Tuesday.

The cause of the crash is under investigation. No charges have been filed.
