Man Killed In Chelmsford Crash On I-495 ID'd
The 22-year-old was behind the wheel of a car that drifted off the roadway Sunday morning.
CHELMSFORD, MA — A 22-year-old man was killed in a crash on I-495 in Chelmsford over the weekend, State Police said. Emerson Ortega, of Lawrence, was behind the wheel of a 2012 Chevrolet Captiva that drifted off the roadway around 1:30 a.m. Sunday, according to police.
The crash happened between Exits 33 and 32 on the southbound side of the highway. Ortega was pronounced dead at the scene. His passenger was flown to Massachusetts General Hospital and is in stable condition, according to State Police.
No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
