McPride - Student Advisory

Our second year of Student Advisory has begun. Our Advisory Committee worked on making tweaks and curriculum changes to our program based on staff and student feedback through spring surveys taken. Here is a picture from Mrs. Cormier’s grade 5 Advisory. Each advisory begins with a greeting and ends with a fun activity. During advisory certain topics are discussed or focused on through sharing and/or activities. The topics over the month of September have included: What is Advisory, Getting to Know Each Other, Staying on Task, Goal Setting, and more. Topics vary a little bit from grade to grade. Our ultimate goals are to have students feel connected, strengthen student-adult relationships and build a sense of community and PRIDE.
