CHELMSFORD, MA — This year's Virtual Youth Public Safety Academy (YPSA) is set to take place Monday, August 16 through Friday, August 21, said the Middlesex Sheriff's Office in a news release Thursday.

The Virtual YPSA sessions, which teach kids various lessons about staying safe, will be available on the Middlesex Sheriff's Office Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube channels next week. Each lesson is approximately 20 to 25 minutes long.

“We are excited to once again be able to offer a series of online lessons for youngsters living in our 54 cities and towns,” said Sheriff Peter J. Koutoujian in a statement. “While we are disappointed we are not able to meet in person this summer, our YPSA staff and community partners have put together an outstanding set of public safety and health lessons for children and families.”
