Parker and McCarthy Band Members Perform at CHS
This fall marks Chelmsford High School’s fourth annual “Band Night.” On Friday, October 24th, Students from CHS, Parker Middle School, and McCarthy Middle School joined together at George Simonian Alumni Stadium to perform a special halftime show featuring the music of The Kingsmen and The Jackson 5.
Approximately 200 students participated in the performance for a cheering crowd of family and fans. Said CHS Director of Bands Matt Sexauer, “We had a great turnout this year. As soon as the middle school musicians arrived, the high school band students took over and made them feel welcome, like they were part of our family. We were fortunate to play for a sizable and very appreciative Senior Night audience.”

“Band Night is not only a fun event for our young musicians, but it provides a special opportunity for high school band members to mentor our younger students,” remarked Fine Arts Coordinator Christina Whittlesey. “Special thanks to the teachers who planned this event, including Matt Sexauer, Eric Linsner, Allison Lacasse, and Sean Wright.”
