Person Struck, Killed By Commuter Rail In Billerica
A person hit by an outbound train on the Lowell Line has died.

BILLERICA, MA – A person was fatally hit by a Commuter Rail train in Billerica Wednesday morning, Transit Police said. Officers were called to the right of way on the New Hampshire/Maine line near Pond Street around 7:25 a.m. The male, whose age is not yet known, was trespassing on the tracks when he was struck by an outbound train on the Lowell Line, according to TPD.
He was pronounced dead as a result of his injuries. Foul play is not suspected, TPD said.
There were about 17 passengers onboard. Transit Police said service will be interrupted.
