Police Investigating Allegations of Inappropriate Conduct by School Employee

The Chelmsford Police Department is investigating allegations of inappropriate conduct by a Chelmsford Public Schools employee, according to Police Chief James M. Spinney.

Earlier this month, administration of the Chelmsford Public Schools contacted the Chelmsford Police Department about allegations of inappropriate conduct involving one of its staff members.

The Chelmsford Public Schools are assisting Chelmsford Police with the investigation.

Police say at this time, no further details may be released.

“This is an ongoing investigation that Chelmsford Public Schools brought forward to the Chelmsford Police Department,” Chief Spinney said. “The employee has been placed on leave during the investigation, but as this is an ongoing and active investigation, we will not be providing additional information at this time.”

Further information will be released as the investigation concludes.
