UPDATE: Chelmsford Police Release Photos of Bank Robbery Suspect
The man is wanted in connection with a Tuesday morning robbery of the Citizens Bank inside Stop & Shop.

Chelmsford police are asking for the public’s help identifying the man they say robbed the Citizens Bank inside the Stop & Shop on Chelmsford Street Tuesday morning.
According to a police statement, a man came into Citizens Bank at about 10:30 a.m. Tuesday and passed the teller a note demanding cash. The suspect did not display a weapon and no one was hurt in the incident.

The suspect escaped with an undisclosed amount of money. He is described as a white or Hispanic male who was wearing a baseball cap, jeans, sneakers and a black and gray fleece jacket.
Chelmsford Police are collaborating with Stoneham and Reading police to determine whether the Chelmsford robbery is connected to robberies that occurred in those towns recently.

“This is an open and active investigation,” Chelmsford Police Chief Jim Spinney said. “Anyone who was in the area at the time of the robbery and saw something, or who recognizes the suspect, is asked to call the Chelmsford Police Department.”

The Citizens Bank inside the Stop & Shop at 299 Chelmsford St. was robbed Tuesday morning.
Reports indicate police are searching for a Hispanic male wearing all black and a Red Sox hat.
Early reports indicate this was an unarmed robbery.
