Survey: Help The Chelmsford Recycling Committee
The committee is asking residents to complete a brief survey on the town's composting services.
CHELMSFORD, MA — The Chelmsford Recycling Committee is asking residents to complete a brief survey that will help the town protect the environment and reduce disposal costs.
In Massachusetts, compostable waste accounts for over 1 million tons and over 25% of the waste stream each year, said the committee. Composting is the best way to dispose of food scraps without sending them to the incinerator.
The survey is open to both residents and business owners and will help the committee determine local interest in curbside or drop off composting services.
