The Town of Chelmsford seeks a dependable and qualified individual to fill the seasonal position of Snow Removal Assistant for the 2016-2017 winter season. The Town of Chelmsford is looking for an individual to assist the Municipal Facilities Division with the removal of snow and ice from building walkways, ramps and access ways on an on-call basis. Depending upon storm size, timing and duration, work hours are varied. Primary emphasis is on having Town buildings open for business in the morning and maintaining safe access throughout normal business hours during snow and ice events. The individual would need to be available to start early enough to meet the above objective. Weekend snow removal may be required with removal activity generally occurring during the day. This position requires the ability to manually shovel snow for extended periods of time and operate a snow blower in a safe and efficient manner. The rate of pay is $14.25 an hour.
