Two Armed Robberies Tuesday Night in Chelmsford

Police are investigating both incidents, which they believe are connected.

Chelmsford police are investigating two robberies that happened Tuesday night within two hours of each other.

In one incident a man was robbed at gunpoint outside his Wellman Avenue home at about 8:20 p.m.. In the second incident two hours later, a woman was also robbed at gunpoint walking along Technology Drive, the Lowell Sun is reporting. Police told the Sun they believe both incidents are related.

Police Lt. Edward Quinn told the Lowell Sun that in both incidents, a man with a mask over his face, approached each individual, pulled a gun and robbed them. Neither was injured.

The suspect has been identified as a Caucasian man possibly driving a green or black Ford Explorer
