Two Chelmsford Men Arrested for Breaking and Entering in Burlington
A woman returned to her Burlington home to find a man inside. The man fled in a vehicle driven by another man.

CHELMSFORD, MA - Two Chelmsford men were arrested by Burlington police late last week after they allegedly broke into a home on Town Line Road.
Peter Carter, 31, and Philip Carter, 33, both of Chelmsford, have been charged with breaking and entering during the daytime (placing a person in fear)
According to Burlingon police, a woman returned to her home last week and found a man inside. That man fled the scene in a vehicle occupied by another man. A short time later, Chelmsford police spotted the vehicle in town and detained the occupants until Burlington police arrived and made the arrests.

“I am once again proud of the swift work by police in this case,” Burlington Police Chief Michael Kent said. “Thanks to the hard work of Burlington police and for assistance from Chelmsford police, we were able to arrest these suspects without incident.”
The two men are also suspected of multiple other house break-ins in Burlington and other communities. The exact relationship between the two has not been disclosed by police.
