Van Liew, Earley Court Date Over Alleged Defamation Postponed
The town will also appear in court Tuesday in Woburn on another Van Liew suit.

Roy Earley and Roland Van Liew's court hearing on Van Liew's has been postponed. A new date will be set sometime in July.
Van Liew alleges Earley, the editor of the news aggregation publication the In-Town Report, defamed him in the publication, which is sent out via e-mail to about 800 residents. The publication includes news articles from various sources and original content.
"I have been served with a lawsuit by Roland Van Liew for re-printing news reports and letters to editors which mention him or his organizations," Earley wrote in a statment to readers. "I have always included a credit line when reprinting a news article ... I am confident that the facts will prove this lawsuit has no merit."
