Want to Run for Chelmsford Office? Here's What You Need to Do

If you want to run for office in Chelmsford this year, here's what you need to know.
First, don't wait. You need obtain nomination papers by Feb. 10 and submit them by Feb. 14.
Next, you need some support. Town-wide candidates must gather at least 50 signatures from registered voters, though the Clerk strongly recommends getting more. Non-incumbents need at least 25 signatures from the precinct they wish to represent.

Also, please be aware that the last day to register to vote for the April 4 Annual Town Election is Wednesday, March 15. The Clerk's Office will be open from 8:30 a.m.-8 p.m. that day
