The Democrats have three candidates. Attorney General Martha Coakley is the frontrunner with Steven Grossman and Donald Berwick hoping to pull off an upset.
The Republican side sees Charles Baker, who ran for governor four years ago, and Mark Fisher.
Attorney General
Maura Healey and Warren Tolman are locked in a race on the Democratic side. The winner will take on John Miller, who is the sole candidate on the Republican side.
District Attorney
Middlesex District Attorney Marian Ryan is in a tough race against MIchael Sullivan. There are no Republicans running for DA, which means the winner of the Democratic primary will be the district attorney unless there is a massive write-in campaign in November.
There are also races for lieutenant governor and treasurer.
