What's Open, Closed in Chelmsford for the July 4 Weekend

Saturday is Independence Day, and chances are you’ve got plans for the weekend. Make sure your propane tank is filled, you’ve got some sparklers and there are enough buns and beer.

Take a look at what’s open and closed on July 4 AND keep in mind that July 3 is a federal holiday this year. That means banks and post offices will be closed. However, it’s business as usual in town. Chelmsford town offices will open regular hours on July 3, 8:30 a.m. - 4:30 p.m., as well as Monday, July 6. Chelmsford Public Library will also have regualr hours Friday, 9:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.

• Supermarkets: Open.
• Convenience stores: Open.
• Taverns, bars: Open.
• Banks: Closed.
• Libraries: Closed 
• Stock market: Closed, July 3
• Municipal, State, federal offices: Closed.
• Mail: Post offices closed; express delivery only.
