Chicopee teacher faces felony charges as investigators review 28 devices (westernmassnews.com) — A Chicopee public school teacher has been charged with multiple felonies related to disturbing material and alleged attempts to entice a minor, and is now on paid administrative leave from the district. Investigators seized 28 electronic devices from his Lenox home and are working with the FBI to review extensive data, with prosecutors expecting additional charges as they search for any potential victims.
4. How to shop safely as grocery prices climb (wwlp.com subscription) — Chicopee shoppers are facing higher grocery bills and growing concerns about food safety, with prices up more than 18% since 2022 and multiple FDA outbreak investigations underway. Local families are urged to plan meals, compare prices carefully, and stay alert to recalls on everyday items like lettuce, eggs, jalapenos, and berries to stretch budgets without sacrificing safety.
