3rd Annual Native American Jewelry Show
Artisans Way's 3rd annual Native American jewelry show and sale featuring Sandia East, a Native American Jewelry company.
Artisans Way, at 18 Walden Street in Concord, will be hosting their third annual Native American jewelry trunk show on Saturday, October 14th and Sunday, October 15th. Diane Whitman, owner of the jewelry company Sandia East, has been involved in the Native American jewelry industry for over 30 years. She will be in the gallery offering a large array of handcrafted jewelry and stone animal fetishes made by Native American tribes from the Southwest.
Traveling to New Mexico several times per year, Diane hand-selects jewelry from thousands of available pieces. Sterling silver bracelets, feather earrings, pendants and rings, are all made in the tradition of the Navajo Nation. Zuni tribe members create earrings, bracelets and pendants featuring turquoise and other stone inlays, as well as a wide assortment of hand carved spiritual animal fetishes. Designed by the natives of the Santo Domingo Pueblo, beaded heishi necklaces are fashioned using local stones and shells.
A collection this vast, of superior quality and diversity, is not often found outside of Native American territory. The public is invited to this free event from 10am – 6pm on Saturday and 12pm – 5pm on Sunday. During the trunk show, all Native American jewelry purchases will be discounted by 10%. Light refreshments will be offered. For additional information or details, please call (978) 369-4400 or send an email to artisansway@verizon.net.
